As wedding planners, it’s our job to remove as much stress as possible from our happy couples in the run-up to and on their wedding day. This leaves them being able to soak up the whole experience and enter married life cool, calm and collected (that’s the goal right..?)

To help ease you into the planning process, Stables Events Team have pulled together a highlight list of what you need to do to prepare for your special day.

  1. Meet with your events team and view your venue to make sure its exactly what you want

  2. Book your date with your venu and confirm with your chosen registrar

  3. Work with your events co-ordinator to create your perfect wedding package

  4. Book an engagement photoshoot

  5. Confirm your guest list and send save the date cards

  6. Appoint your Bridal Party and Groomsmen

  7. Plan your Stag and Hen Do’s

  8. Set your wedding theme (Pinterest is a great place for inspiration)

  9. Send invitations and gift list

  10. Confirm suppliers – photographer, florist, music, entertainment, venue, dresser, beauty team (we can help with this – talk to the team for our full list of suppliers)

  11. Shop for your wedding outfits

  12. Order the wedding rings

  13. Agree an order of service

  14. Write your wedding vows, toasts and speeches

  15. Sort the seating plan and write place cards

  16. Organise a guest book for your special day

  17. Find something old, something new and something blue!

  18. Research and book your honeymoon

  19. Arrange a wedding day emergency kit (bobby and safety pins, nail and eyelash glue, needle and thread, hairspray, make-up for emergency fixes, tissues)

  20. Relax, enjoy your big day and start life as a newly married couple!
