Firstly THANK YOU for making our special day - SIMPLY THE BEST!

Working in hospitality, weddings and events it was always going to be hard to find a venue where I was confident to let go of the reins. We only got engaged in January 2023 and knew with family health concerns we needed to get on with things. We look at other venues and I struggled to see myself letting go of the control …then we found you guys.

We had eaten at The Ffolkes many times, we even went on the night we got engaged so it was pretty special to us. It was my first though but I thought it would be way out of our budget and I was worried people wouldn't travel from Peterborough. I made the enquiry on my way home from another Norfolk venue viewing after seeing the winter offers on Instagram.

From the moment we visited the venue in April and met Becky, I knew it was the right venue for our wedding. I don't make on the spot decisions when it comes to big financial stuff but that day we booked it there and then. Even my husband and family were shocked!

The whole team Becky, Emma and Georgie were fantastic throughout the wedding planning process. I didn't have loads of time as we booked for November 2023. I was also in the middle of moving house whilst running my own hospitality business with wedding bookings. I wasn't your typical bride and our wedding wasn't exactly traditional but that wasn't a problem for the team. Every question was answered quickly, nothing was too much trouble. Even the cocktail making during the ceremony, there was other quirky requests too.

Fast forward to Wedding Weekend and it didn't disappoint. I was head strong on an outdoor ceremony but on the Friday it was clear it would be far too cold. That wasn't a problem for the team. they set up the ceremony space indoors for us and plan b was put into action. Even late night emails when they were picked up for the morning - family dramas.

When the big day arrived I was able to let go, people even commented on how chilled I was getting ready compared to most brides.

Nothing was too much trouble throughout the day, they were stars helping with my poorly name and difficult family members.

We've had some many comments from guests that it was best wedding they had been too and how amazing the food was.

I can't tell you how much it means to hear people being so complementary.

Thank you for everything you did throughout the whole process, I'm sad its over now. We will be back to The Ffolkes for special occasions as the whole place means so much to us.

Advice to other brides, Be bold and let your personalities shine. This team will make it happen!

My review won’t even come close to show others how special Stables is to me… to us.

My husband and I got married there July 2023. We booked the venue while it was undergoing refurbishment and even with piles of mud around us we could see what a beautiful venue it would be. We booked it straight away, exactly what we were looking for. From that moment, the very first meeting, the whole team (Emma, Becky and Georgie) were friendly, professional and extremely helpful with any questions we had and made us feel at ease. My many questions were answered promptly, friendly and without judgement if they were a bit silly.

The day came, and the outside wedding we had planned couldn’t go ahead due to bad weather (torrential rain) I had only imagined the set up outside, being July we assumed it would be dry. Silly us. It didn’t stop all day so they had to move our day set up away and set up for the ceremony. It looked stunning. So lovely and we were more than happy with what they done.

After the ceremony they then set up our day tables again seamlessly, quickly with no disruptions to us.

The day didn’t continue how we had planned due to a couple of medical issues. Emma, Becky and Georgie were just fabulous. They kept it calm, helped where they could and ensured the day continued and all the guests had fun. Just how we wanted it. You’re in safe hands here.

I can assure you, you are not just a number to these girls, not just another wedding on the list. They care for you. They want you to have the perfect day you have always dreamt of. They are more than an events team.

Off the back of the day not being what we had planned, us as a couple not being very present on the day, every guest I spoke to commented on how fantastic Emma, Becky and Georgie were all day. Also the comments on the food are still ongoing today. ‘Best roast I have ever had’ has been said by quite a few of our guests.

I can now agree with the comments on the food as we have been extremely lucky to be invited back to an evening dedicated to us as a couple so we could have our wedding breakfast, first dance and watch our wedding video at the venue. It was amazing and so so special. Our day may not have been perfect but with what the girls done for us, it’s somehow so much more perfect. We have extra memories now, ones we will never forget.

I could say more but I think I’ve said enough.. haha.

Wow! Thank you all so much for everything yesterday and the days and weeks before planning.

It was the most incredible day and exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail you all give is amazing. Not only the way you relentlessly saw our wedding through from start to finish but how you also looked after us with such care, keeping us calm, fed, with drink and at all times in the know. The same for our guests; they could not have been in better hands. We didn’t have to worry one bit throughout the day, and that’s hugely because you are such a seamless team that makes weddings magical and look easy!

Everyone complimented the venue, the team, and the staff, and all were blown away by the feast and picnic! The food is phenomenal!!

We really cannot put into words how incredible our wedding reception was at The Stables and can't thank you enough for all of your help and support in making our wedding day extra special. We had the most amazing time and it was all thanks to your hard work and dedication. I know it wasn't the most typical wedding and we just really wanted to thank you for truly taking the time to understand our vision and executing it beyond our dreams. From our first interaction, you were so helpful and welcomed my endless questions and always responded with reassurance and excitement. The day before the wedding you kindly allowed us to set up some decorations and when we arrived the following afternoon the venue was set out so perfectly, there's no way we could have done it better ourselves. You were all so fabulous when it was my turn to jump into the wedding car and set off, and it was the small touches like helping me down the stairs that meant the world to me and really helped put me at ease; it was like getting hyped for the aisle with 3 really good friends.

Thank you for being so flexible during the reception and making sure that all of our guests were well looked after. You had thought through the tiniest of details which just made the evening absolutely perfect and stress-free for us, such as setting up our wedding cake beautifully, preparing us for our wedding entrance with a drink ready to hand, and keeping us on track with timings. You really went above and beyond and we cannot thank you enough. The feedback we have received from our guests has been glowing and they loved the quirkiness of the venue, laid-back atmosphere and THE FOOD. Omg the food. We knew it would be incredible but it was beyond our wildest expectations and everyone absolutely loved the variety and presentation and guests have described it as the best wedding food they have ever had.

Absolutely everything was perfect and we really cannot thank you enough and couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue or coordinators - you guys are the most amazing team!

We had our wedding at the Ffolkes April 2023 and wow we had the most amazing day. The venue is just stunning. We honestly couldn’t thank Emma and the team enough! From start to finish it was just perfect. Communication was always quick and professional. It was the little touches that helped. For example The groomsmen didn’t know how to put on their button holes and the team was there to help them. Emma was waiting at the bottom of the aisle with a beer and glass of Pimm’s! Just what we needed. The team really had everything thought through!

The food was lovely and such a massive selection. Your guests will not go hungry!

The venue in itself is perfect. I had the most lovely evening with my bridesmaids staying in the hayloft. We had dinner in the pub the night before and then chilled out in the room. There was enough space the next day for hair, make up and photographer. The courtyard in the evening was perfect for guests. During the day a few of our younger guests went across the playground at the pub for some fun. It was nice they had this option!

Overall could not recommend this venue highly enough! I just wish I could do it all over again!

Having visited the Ffolkes regularly we were certain that it was the right place to have our wedding with its quirky design and great food. Following our enquiry, we met Emma on site and discussed the sort of thing we would be looking for. Straight from the off, Emma couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and she instantly made us feel reassured that it was going to be a great day. Obviously, when planning the most important day of your life there were going to be some questions. Emma, Becky & Georgie were always really prompt to respond to calls and email.

As the day arrived so did all the guests, we had booked the majority of the brilliantly furnished rooms and all had a meal in the pub the night before where the staff again were fantastic. Georgie helped to set up assisting with the flowers and table decorations.

The wedding day brought terrible weather and it rained for most of the day. Becky & Georgie were amazing and ensured that the day went to plan without a hitch. The girls continued to surpass our expectations and many of our guests commented on how brilliant they had been and how delicious the food was, we were so pleased with everything.

A huge thankyou to Emma, Becky & Georgie for all your hard work in making our wedding a day to remember, we can’t wait to come back!

We had our wedding here in September 2022 and it was amazing. Nothing was to much hassle and the tips we got were amazing. Becky and the team done a fabulous job from start to finish. Even bringing up a strong drink ti calm my nerves in the morning of our wedding. When we come back for food recently it was so lovely to bump into Becky and catch up. Would recommend the Ffolkes to anyone for their wedding or any function they have. The bridal suite is amazing too!

We had our wonderful wedding here in August 2022. From viewing the venue which ticked every box to the day of our wedding Emma and Becky could not of been more helpful or professional throughout. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We had the most amazing weekend with our family and friends, everyone loved the venue, the accommodation and the food. We would highly recommend having your wedding here, or any other event ❤

Becky and Emma organised our wedding here in October 2022 and I cannot tell you how amazing the whole day was. Becky was on hand the entire day making sure everything went to plan and feeding us drinks to help with the nerves! The planning and organisation beforehand was really good, I had a lot of questions and worries beforehand which were answered quickly. I was concerned about the crazy golf right outside the venue and whether this would interrupt the ceremony and day, but we honestly wouldn’t have even known it was there. Couldn’t hear it at all. Beautiful venue and the Hayloft room was incredible, especially the enormous bathtub- would recommend! Thank you especially to Becky, you are amazing!!!

We had an amazing wedding. We couldn’t see how it would plan out until the day but Becky put us at ease throughout the whole run up and the day! Would recommend getting married here 100% The bridal suite is amazing and the food is great. Thank you so much x
